Long Gone

Ep. 101: WBC Premieres, The Torkelson Matter, Then & Now (LF)

This week on Long Gone:

In this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys talk about the World Baseball Classic kicking off on March 7th. They discuss matchups, primetime games, tournament rules, and give their bracket breakdown, which eventually leads to them revealing their predictions on who will win the whole enchilada. Afterward, they discuss Detroit Tigers’ work-in-progress Spencer Torkelson. From the first overall pick in the 2020 draft to flying through the minors, and now his Major League woes, is he a lost cause? Does he set the franchise back? How can the club save him from becoming the latest draft bust? The boys dive in. The Then & Now series enters the outfield. This week they pick their top-five best left fielders of the 80s and right now. They round out the show with Collection Corner, and then Steve tries to keep his winning streak alive.
