Ep.108: Storybook Pirates?, Harper’s Rush, April’s Surprise Teams

This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys debate whether the Pittsburgh Pirates’ success is real, or if the bottom is going to drop out on them eventually. From the prodigal son Andrew McCutchen returning to his first team now older and wiser, to the impressive prospect play after top youngster Oneil Cruz went down, to Mitch Keller’s development into an ace and Drew Maggi making his MLB debut after 13 years in the minors, this franchise has the makings of a feel good story. Will they have a happy ending? Afterwards, the boys discuss Bryce Harper’s speedy return and how his rush to play could hurt him and the team long term. The boys also discuss Max Scherzer’s wild suspension. Then, the boys each pick three teams that are surprising them this season and three teams that are disappointing them this season. They round out the show with Fantasy Factory and Collection Corner.
