Long Gone

Ep. 121: The Forgotten Series – Denny McLain

This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys start out talking about the hot AL East. The Rays and Orioles are in a dead heat. Who will take the crown? Trade rumors galore are league-wide now that we inch closer to the deadline. Justin Verlander being moved is the latest rumor. The San Francisco Giants have shown heavy interest. Will he waive his no-trade clause to go to the Bay? After the headlines, the boys introduce their second Forgotten Series player this season: the troubled Denny McLain. From his dominance in the late-60s, which he might have been better than any pitcher in the league at that time, to his downslide in 1970, he seemed destined to fall. What happened to Denny McLain? Tune in as the boys dive into this one-time phenom. After, they round out the show with Fantasy Factory and Collection Corner.

NOTE: Michael’s main mic was off for first part of show, so his audio might sound different at first than he usually does.
