Ep. 93: Twins Can’t Quit Correa, Devers Signs Extension, HoF Rant

This week on Long Gone:

In this week’s episode, news dropped before the show about Carlos Correa officially signing with the… Minnesota Twins?! What a whirlwind for the Correa camp. The boys discuss how the Twins couldn’t quit their love for him and the awkwardness of the situation. Last week, Rafael Devers signed a long-term extension with the Red Sox to establish the young third baseman as their foundational piece. The boys talk about how this signing does much more for the Red Sox than meets the eye. The first trade of 2023 took place last week, and it was between the Tigers and Phillies. Who won the trade? What is each team getting? 2023’s Hall of Fame Class will be announced this week. Who will join Fred McGriff? The subject gets Michael heated, and he goes into a rant about the WAR stat watering down the Hall of Fame, which leads into a hot take about players that shouldn’t even have been inducted. After, the boys round out the show with Collection Corner and this week’s trivia question.
