On this week’s episode, we begin by discussing Shohei Ohtani’s vindication by the FBI in relation to a gambling scandal surrounding his former translator Ippei Mizuhara, who stole over $16 million from Ohtani’s bank accounts and was charged with bank fraud. From there, we discuss the Red Sox locking up Ceddanne Rafaela to an eight-year, $50 million extension, Jordan Montgomery dropping Scott Boras as an agent after his offseason from hell, penalties for the Rimas Sports agency, Spencer Strider officially going under the knife, and a look back at the Yoan Moncada trade now that he’s out for the season.
