This week on You’re Wrong… And Here’s Why:

[00:19–03:49] Summer Weather
Chris and Greg open with complaints about summer heat and severe thunderstorms. They bond over new homeowner concerns, especially about large backyard trees during storms.

[03:50–06:19] Red Panda Injury at WNBA Game
They discuss the legendary halftime performer Red Panda, who recently broke her wrist during a WNBA routine. Chris praises her long career and notes she’s in her 50s.

[06:20–10:49] Wembanyama’s Risky Bicycle Kick
Chris brings up a viral clip of Victor Wembanyama attempting a bicycle kick. Both hosts are horrified by the risk involved and compare Wemby’s frame to a collapsing Power Rangers villain.

[10:50–14:19] Shea’s Mega Extension & NBA Salaries
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s $71.3M/year extension is examined. Chris expects he’ll decline the final year for a better deal due to the next CBA.

[14:20–18:19] Highest-Paid Athletes: Ronaldo, Messi, Canelo
Chris quizzes Greg on global earners: Ronaldo ($214M), Messi ($168.5M), and Canelo Alvarez ($73M) top the list. Greg jokes about needing just 1% of that money.

[18:20–21:49] Ayton Joins Lakers & Luka Fatigue
They react to Deandre Ayton landing with the Lakers. Chris thinks Ayton loves money more than basketball. Reports suggest LeBron and Austin Reaves dislike playing with Luka Doncic due to his ball-dominant style.

[21:50–26:19] West Power Rankings & Offseason Moves
OKC is favored to win the title, thanks to a deep roster and Shea’s extension. Houston adds Kevin Durant and other vets. Denver swaps MPJ for Cam Johnson and adds Bruce Brown. The Nuggets are considered deeper and better positioned.

[26:20–30:04] Pacers Decline & Bucks Stretch Dame
The Pacers lose Haliburton and Myles Turner. Milwaukee surprisingly waives and stretches Damian Lillard, agreeing to pay him $22.3M/year over five years.

[30:05–33:49] Sixers Roster Changes
Gershon Yabusele leaves for the Knicks; the Sixers replace him with Trendon Watford, a solid passer and friend of Tyrese Maxey. Chris praises the move but says the power forward spot remains unresolved. They joke about Greg stepping in as a 6’1″ stretch four.

[33:50–35:49] Grimes & Edgecombe’s Jersey Number
Quentin Grimes is expected to re-sign. They discuss No. 3 pick Vijay Edgecombe’s unfortunate jersey choice—77. Chris and Greg agree it’s a “non-basketball number” and lament its aesthetics and awkwardness.

[35:50–41:19] McCain Summer League
They question Jared McCain’s absence from Summer League, saying he hasn’t proven enough to skip it. Chris wanted to see him and Edgecombe paired up.

[41:20–43:19] Broome Pick & Drummond Disappointment
Johni Broome is viewed as a good rebounder but has poor athleticism. Chris points out his vertical is lower than a 456-pound lineman. They reminisce about Andre Drummond’s once-promising return and now hope the team trades him.

[43:20–46:19] Dame Free Agency
They discuss potential landing spots for Dame Lillard: Minnesota or Golden State. Greg prefers the Warriors for nostalgic reasons, calling the possible lineup a “2K18 dream team.”

[46:20–50:54] Knicks Hire Mike Brown
The episode ends with critique of the Knicks hiring Mike Brown after firing Thibodeau. Chris calls Brown a two-time Coach of the Year and four-time fired head coach.
