NBA Top Shot, CP3 and Booker are All-Stars!

This week on the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about NBA Top Shot, Chris Paul and Devin Booker making the All Star Game, and discuss the most recent and upcoming Suns games.

The guys start things off by talking about a fun new NBA highlight trading system called NBA Top Shot. The guys both reserved their first packs this week, and are very excited to pop them open. The similarities to normal sports cards are discussed, as well as a breakdown on how everything works.

Next, the guys take some time to celebrate that the Phoenix Suns are sending two players to the All Star Game this year, for the first time in a long time. Chris Paul was listed initially with the reserves, but we had to wait a day or two for Devin Booker to be named an injury replacement for Anthony Davis. The guys talk about what to expect from those two at the All Star Game, as well as what this means to the Suns and Suns fans.

Before highlighting last week’s games, the guys talk about what to expect with the second half of the NBA schedule. The Suns have to big homestands and one very tough road trip out east, which are all discussed.

To wrap things up, the guys talk about last week’s wins over the Blazers and Bulls, as well as the disappointing loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Then we look forward to two big games against the Lakers and Warriors before the All-Star break.
