Suns Back on Track with Big Rivalry Win

On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about Devin Booker’s big 58 point night, give an injury update, take a look at a change in the Phoenix Suns’ system, and discuss recent and upcoming Suns games.

It sure was nice to see Devin Booker getting back in his groove after the hamstring injury and a few sub-par games. Booker torched the Pelicans for 58 points in the final matchup of the regular season, reminding the Pelicans that the Suns are for real one last time before another potential playoff matchup.

The guys talk about the injury report, featuring Devin Booker nursing a groin injury – and took the night off against the Los Angeles Lakers – but Deandre Ayton is back. Still missing from the lineup is Cam Payne dealing with a foot injury and Jock Landale in concussion protocol.

The guys spend some time talking about Josh Okogie and Torrey Craig and their roles on the team – and the special topic of offensive rebounding. The Suns are averaging the 6th most offensive rebounds per game this season, and those two attacking the glass has been a big part of the team’s improvement in this stat category.
