The Atlantic Files #192: Boston Celtics Year in Review

This week on The Atlantic Files:

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are the biggest topics of discussion this week as the annual Atlantic Files Year in Review series comes to a close! Of course, there was still some news and a brand new schedule to talk about as well.

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green sat down and had a conversation that was put on YouTube. They spoke about their time together on the Golden State Warriors and then played the blame game on their falling out and Durant ultimately leaving for the Brooklyn Nets. The whole thing turning into a “he said, she said” type of situation is not something any of us expected. So, why couldn’t they work things out?

On a different note, the schedule for the 2021-22 NBA season has been released! We have an interesting slate of Christmas Day games as well as some top teams getting the easiest schedule in the league. Which games are you looking forward to the most? We talk about our favorite Christmas Day games and why some teams may have gotten easier schedules than others.

Finally, we recap the Boston Celtics disappointing season. They battled covid coupled with many injuries to almost every player on the team. They even made some moves during the season but it was all a futile attempt as they still fell in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets. Especially when they didn’t even have Jaylen Brown for the playoffs.

So will the moves they made this off-season make them a better team than last year or could they be gearing up for a bigger splash and just putting together a competitive team in the meantime?

Listen to the full episode to hear our thoughts on that and more!
