267. Baseball Writer Mel Antonen

This week on Sports With Friends:

Longtime baseball writer Mel Antonen joins the show. The longtime baseball writer has been battling a uniquely rare liver disease, HLH, as well as a bout with COVID-19. Antonen has been on a long road to recovery and has not been making media appearances. He tells his harrowing story but also gets energized to talk about the sport he loves and has covered for decades, baseball.

Antonen was a national baseball writer for USA Today for 24 years. He has also been featured on Sirius/XM Radio, Sports Illustrated, and most recently the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN).
