Andy Masur took over the Chicago White Sox play-by-play job when longtime broadcasting legend Ed Farmer passed away. He took over the job in 2020, a season where radio announcers didn’t travel with the team, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Between those two major issues, Andy did an amazing job for White Sox fans who couldn’t attend games, while paying proper tribute to Farmer.
In the show, Masur details the process of calling games without fans and offers his opinions on the outlook for the 2021 MLB season.
Masur has always worked with the Chicago Cubs and called games for the San Diego Padres as well as the University of San Diego men’s basketball program.
