Doug Glanville joined the show to discuss the challenges that face Major League Baseball as the 2021 season commences. Glanville has been doing shows with Seth since his playing days when Seth & Darryl Hamilton hosted on MLB Radio.
This season, baseball is dealing with the fallout from moving its All-Star Game out of Atlanta, to issues on the field such as launch-angle and an abundance of strikeouts, to marketing problems, and an upcoming collective bargaining fight between its owners and players.
Glanville, a nine-year MLB veteran, is a frequent contributor to numerous outlets, including Marquee Sports Network, ESPN, the New York Times, and The Athletic, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut. He is the author of The Game From Where I Stand, an inside look at the human side of the game of baseball, and is outspoken on topics related to the human condition, including equity, diversity, public policy, and community building.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Glanville is the host and creator of a new panel show on Marquee Sports Network, exploring the intersection between sports and the larger society. Each month, Glanville sits down with a distinguished panel of guests, analyzing and providing solutions to the most challenging issues in the world of sports.
