WARNING: Do not listen to this episode unless you have seen season two of the Amazon Prime series “Gen V” or do not mind hearing key plot points.
The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, recently completed its second season. For continuity, it takes place after the events of season four of The Boys. After season one, actor Chance Perdomo died tragically in a horrible motorcycle accident. From the beginning of season two, the storyline incorporated the death of Perdomo’s character, Andre, in a uniquely and creatively compelling way. The storyline seems wrapped up and sets up the final season of the Boys, coming soon.
The plot of season two is loosely based on the comic book story arc “We Gotta Go Now” by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins.
Luke Spear of WBZ Radio in Boston joined the show to review Gen V season two. In this episode, Spear discusses comparisons between the show and the original source material, the Boys franchise, and how Gen V enhanced it all.
