Ep.163: Forgotten Series – Nomar Garciaparra

This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys talk early MVP races and go over the Blue Jays rumors of a possible reset mode happening soon. Afterwards, they kick off their annual Forgotten Series with their first player of this 2024 season: Nomar Garciaparra. At one time, Nomar was considered a top-3 shortstop in the league along with Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. The three made the American League dominant over most National League stars, and struck memories of a golden age in the game. He was the chef’s kiss of Boston, but then his playing career faded into irrelevance seemingly overnight. What happened to ‘No NonSense Nomar’? The boys round out the show with Fantasy Factory and Collection Corner.
