Long Gone

Ep.168: Injury Plague, Rickwood Game, Field of Dreams Sim-Game

This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys break down the plethora of injuries that have plagued MLB and fantasy teams alike this year. Recently, Mookie Betts went down, Clayton Kershaw is having a hard time coming back, Max Scherzer is ailing after latest start and the injuries keep on coming in waves. Last week, MLB celebrated its annual specialty game between the Giants and Cardinals at the historic Rickwood Field. While the cloud of Willie Mays’ death hung over, it was still a spectacle. Following this, the boys give props to the Tennessee Volunteers for winning their first-ever College World Series. For the third year in a row, the boys play their “Field of Dreams Simulated Game”, where they draft players from a randomized decade and create a team from that decade to go against each other in a simulated game. Will S-Man win his third-straight year or will Mikey upset and win his first? Afterwards, they round out the show with Fantasy Factory and Collection Corner.
