Long Gone

Ep. 98: Yu is Padre for Life, WBC Rosters, Then & Now (2B)

This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys talk the Yu Darvish signing. He just signed a 6-year, $108 million extension, which will probably keep him in San Diego for the rest of his career. Afterwards, the boys dive into the World Baseball Classic– previewing teams that look to dominate the popular tourney. Japan, USA, and the Dominican Republic are stacked. Will the champs come out of one of these three or will teams like Mexico, Korea or Canada have something to say? This past Super Bowl Sunday, Derek Jeter announced he was joining the FOX Sports team as an analyst for the upcoming season. The boys talk about how he compliments David Ortiz, A-Rod and Frank Thomas. Following this the Then and Now series carries on. This week they pick their top-five best second basemen of the ’80s and the best at the position right now. When finished, they round out the show with Collection Corner, and then Michael sees if he can get on the board with this week’s trivia question.
