On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich celebrate the arrival of Kevin Durant to Phoenix via what could be biggest trade in Phoenix Suns history. They talk about what this means for the current roster, what the on-court product will look like, and the future of the franchise.
Mat Ishbia, just hours after gaining majority ownership of the Phoenix Suns, pulled the trigger on a blockbuster trade to land Kevin Durant and TJ Warren – giving up Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, four 1st round picks, and a 2028 pick swap.
The Suns also made a move to bring in Darius Bazley from the Oklahoma City Thunder, while sending out Dario Saric and a 2nd round pick.
The guys discuss what this means, losing some fan-favorite players in Bridges, Johnson, and Saric. But in the end, all eyes are on one thing – a ring.
Go Suns!
