Solomon traced the origins of the genre in his new book “Super Heroes! The History of a Pop-Culture Phenomenon, From Ant-Man to Zorro.” In this book, Solomon explores the characters but also the rise in superhero media in every decade since the 1930s. He covers the George Reeves Superman TV show to Adam West Batman, to Lou Ferrigno’s The Incredible Hulk, and much more.
