Underdog Podcasts ("we", "us") operates this website and the podcast network it represents. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — for example your name, email address and pitch details when you submit the "Join The Underdog" form. We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address, to keep the site running and understand what content resonates.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to show pitches and enquiries, to operate, secure and improve the website, to remember your preferences (like light or dark mode), and to measure which episodes and videos are popular. We do not sell your personal information.
Audio, video & embedded content
Episodes are streamed from our hosting partners' servers, and videos are embedded from YouTube and TikTok. When you play that content, those providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's and TikTok's policies.
Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage to keep admins signed in and to remember your display preferences. Embedded players may set third-party cookies as described above. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some features may stop working as a result.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, media storage), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our community. Pitch submissions are shared with the Underdog Podcasts team responsible for programming.
Retention
We keep pitch submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to evaluate and respond to them, and technical logs for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices & rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information you've provided by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honour them.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
