On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about Robert Sarver selling the team, Jae Crowder’s trade request, the Suns at Media Day, and the open practice.
The guys start off by briefly touching on the recent Robert Sarver news and his decision to sell the franchise. The guys talk about how much the team could sell for, who could be interested in purchasing it, and how the team’s current situation will effect the sale price.
Then the guys talk about Jae Crowder’s very public trade request/demand. It is said that Crowder wanted a contract extension and to keep his position in the starting lineup, two points where the Suns weren’t interested in budging. The guys talk about what the return might look like, and what the Suns will look like without Crowder.
The guys wrap up the show by talking about the Suns at Media Day, as well as the open practice. Media Day was rough for the Suns – a lot of guys seemed to be pretty upset about the outcome of last season still. All eyes were on Deandre Ayton and his brief answers towards all questions directed at him.
Thanks for tuning in, and Go Suns!
