The CW series Stargirl premiered its 3rd season recently, and it is currently the only DC-related show on the network’s fall schedule. Yvette Monreal plays Yolanda Montez/Wildcat since the show’s first season. The California native has been acting since 2013. She has been featured in short films, web series, and commercials.
Season 3 of Stargirl is called Frenemies, and Yvette teases that there is a murder mystery that will last the season. Stargirl also has a special connection to DC Executive and writer/artist Geoff Johns who created Stargirl in the comics as a tribute to his younger sister, who died in a 1996 plane crash.
In this episode, Monreal talks extensively about getting the role of Wildcat, and her connection to the character’s legacy. She also talked about the following the show has garnered in the 1st 2 seasons and her hopes for its future.
