S2E15 The Music City Miracle Rello and Cunda
In the new Warner Bros. DC Universe animated film “’Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons,” Superman and Lois Lane have a son named Jonathan Kent. In the CW TV show “Superman and Lois,” Clark and Lois have twin sons, a twist after the CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” In the comics, Jonathan Kent is grown up and came out last year as gay. Is Jonathan Kent (the son) part of the new mainstream iconography of the legendary Superman story? Do all mediums going forward need to incorporate Jonathan as much as Clark?
Jeremy Adams wrote “Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons” and joined this discussion. Adams was profiled on the show (Episode 223). He is currently a writer on the Flash comic book for DC Comics, and also wrote the 2022 animated film “Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind.” Both Snow Blind and Super Sons will be premiering at New York Comic Con in New York City.
