September 11, 2021, will mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. September 11, 2001, is a day that the world completely changed. This podcast is dedicated to the lives lost on that fateful day.
Esteemed documentary filmmaker Ross Greenburg directed along with Joe Lavine a new HBO Max documentary entitled, “Extra Innings from 9/11: 20 Years Later.” The film shows a host of powerful stories by nearly 20 different individuals with first-hand accounts of 9/11 including former New York Yankees Joe Torre and Bernie Williams and former New York Mets Bobby Valentine, Mike Piazza, John Franco, and Al Leiter, in addition to the personal reflections from family members of first responders and others who lost their lives. The film captures the effects of those tragic events on the lives of the storytellers now 20 years later.
Ross is recognized as one of the most innovative producers and best storytellers in television history. He now brings his creativity and vision to a larger audience, and a wider variety of programming opportunities. In 2011, he created Ross Greenburg Productions after a 33-year career at HBO. He served as Vice President and Executive Producer of HBO Sports from 1985-1990, Senior Vice President and Executive Producer from 1990-2000, and then President of HBO Sports from 2000-2011.
