This week on Sports With Friends:

Recent New York Sports Emmy Winner John Chandler joined this week’s episode. Chandler is NBC 4 New York’s weekend sports anchor, seen regularly on Fridays and Saturdays at 6 PM and 11 PM. He is a weekday sports and general assignment reporter. He has won multiple Emmy Awards.

During the episode, Chandler speaks about his approach to a nightly sportscast in a market like New York, which has 11 professional franchises. He also discussed how the pandemic has impacted sports coverage, and how viewership of nightly newscasts has changed and even diminished over the years.

Chandler is a native of Ohio, so there is plenty of Cleveland sports chatter as well. Ultimately, there is a discussion on the decade-long New York sports championship drought.
