Acclaimed Canadian Actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is Carson Teva in the Star Wars Universe shows The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The story of how Lee, a big-time Star Wars fan, came to be part of the canon is a focus of this week’s episode. After already establishing his stage and screen career, Lee grew to international fame when the hit CBC show Kim’s Convenience debuted on Netflix. Lee played Appa and will come on a future episode of the Hall of Justice to discuss in greater detail that show and the impact it had on his life. He explains where he sees Carson Teva’s role in the New Republic, and how the role was written with Lee in mind.
Lee is a Korean Canadian actor, and Star Wars is his first job in the United States. In this episode, Lee explains his passion for Star Wars and discusses but does not spoil, season 3 of The Mandalorian. He also discusses the doors that the extraordinary Kim’s Convenience opened for him.
