After more than four decades in the business, former FOX Sports Vice Chairman Ed Goren joined the show to talk about his illustrious Hall of Fame career. Goren is a 47-time Emmy Award winner and Executive Producer of FOX Sports since its inception in 1994. This episode started as a tribute to another icon, the late John Madden. The conversation evolved into incredible stories about working for FOX CEO Rupert Murdoch and the creation of the “glowing puck” that FOX used in the ’90s for his NHL coverage. Goren also offered his thoughts on the growing streaming business, and how sports television is evolving.
Goren was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, in October 2011 and the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in December 2012, fitting tributes to his long and distinguished career.
