This week on Sunny in PHX:

On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges stepping up without Chris Paul and Devin Booker in the lineup, recap last week’s games, and preview this week’s.

Cameron Johnson had a career night against the Knicks, going for a career-high 38 points and hitting the game-winning three pointer at the buzzer. Mikal Bridges has been bringing his usual lockdown defense on a nightly basis, but has made huge improvements on the offensive side of the court. “The Twins” have been taking advantage of the opportunity to lead this Suns team without Booker and Paul, and it has been a blast to watch.

The guys recap last week’s games against the Trail Blazers, Knicks, and Bucks. The Blazers game featured a celebration of Al McCoy’s 50 years with the team, as well as the Suns coming away with their 50th win of the season. The Knicks game ended with the before-mentioned Cam Johnson buzzer beater, and included a great comeback late in the game after the Julius Randle ejection.

The Suns play the Magic and Heat, back-to-back in Florida to start the week. Then they head home for a couple home games against the Raptors and Lakers. Let’s hope to see Booker and Johnson back in the lineup sometime this week.

Thanks for tuning in, and Go Suns!
