On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich break down the NBA All-Star Weekend, the Suns news that happened during it, and preview next week’s games.
The guys start off the show with the Chris Paul injury news. Paul will be out 6-8 weeks which leads us straight into the playoffs, so the guys discuss what the Suns will have to do without him. Luckily, Cameron Payne and Landry Shamet are set to return to the lineup soon.
Devin Booker has a solid appearance at the All-Star game, scoring 20 points including a couple nice dunks. As Suns fans, we should be very proud of getting Booker, Paul, and coach Monty Williams to All-Star weekend.
Next week, the Suns have a back-to-back against the Thunder and Pelicans, and then take on the Jazz to end the week. The first two games look pretty winnable, even without Paul, but the Jazz game should be a battle. The Suns are yet to face a Jazz team including Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert both in the lineup.
Thanks for tuning in, see you next week, and Go Suns!
