This week on Long Gone:

On this week’s episode of Long Gone, the boys discuss what Albert Pujols’ new job as assistant to the commissioner (Rob Manfred) really means. They ponder if it could be a play for a future CBA agreement, which would put Albert Pujols in a unique position as the middleman. This leads the boys to complain about how bad contracts like Jacob DeGrom and every Padres contract hurts the league and could give Manfred and the owners some ground to stand on. Afterward, Michael can’t help himself but reveal his doubts about AJ Hinch as the Tigers’ manager. There are inklings here that Detroit could’ve gotten the once-manager of the lowly Diamondbacks AJ Hinch, instead of Houston’s championship AJ Hinch. This in turn makes the boys question Hinch’s actual role in the Astros’ 2017 championship season. Following this, the boys couldn’t wait to bring back GM for a Day and discuss the moves they’d make to two bottom-dweller teams and one top-of-the-mountain team. They round out the show with Fantasy Factory and Collection Corner.
