This week on Sunny in PHX:

On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about the Suns’ newest two-way player, Gabriel “Iffe” Lundberg, injury updates, last week’s games, and a quick preview of next week’s four games.

Lundberg is a 6’4″ guard from Denmark was said to be one of the best international free agent targets available. Due to his two-way contract, he’ll be unable to help the Suns in the playoffs this season, but this could potentially be the first step to getting a contract with the team for next year.

A quick update on the Cameron’s – Payne has been playing CP3 levels of PG since returning after his wrist injury, averaging 15 points and 11 assists per game while keeping the turnovers to a minimum. His impact has been and will continue to be huge throughout the rest of the regular season while the team waits for CP3 to heal up. Cameron Johnson will be missing his 6th straight game Tuesday night due to a bruised quad. It seems that the team is letting him take all the time he needs to be back to 100% as there is no point in rushing him back.

The Suns managed another 3-1 week last week, with the lone loss to the Toronto Raptors. After squeaking by the Magic, the Suns had one of their best defensive performances of the season against the Miami Heat, a game where we saw Devin Booker return to the lineup and the Suns clinch a playoff spot. The highlight of the week (for us at least) was the Suns wiping the floor with the Lakers, 140-111 for the final score, and the game was over within the first five minutes.

Thanks for tuning in, and Go Suns!
