On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about Devin Booker hitting the 9,000 point mark, Mitch’s debut inside the Suns Arena, last week’s games, and the upcoming roadtrip out east.
The guys start off the show by talking about Devin Booker’s newest achievement of scoring 9,000 points in his young NBA career. Booker is just the 9th player under 25 years old to score 9,000 and the only ones to do it faster are LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant.
After that, the focus shifts to the new Suns arena, and Mitch documents what he thought stood out the most. The new interior design of the arena is discussed, as well as the new seating and lighting on the court.
To round out the show the guys discuss last week’s games against the Rockets, Heat, Kings, and Spurs. The Suns looked solid in the first games of the week, but were outplayed by the Spurs. The guys discuss how with this new Suns team, it seems reasonable to be able to excuse poor performances like this, every once in a while.
Then the guys head into the 5-game east coast road trip that the Suns are about to take on, with games against the Bucks, 76ers, Celtics, and Nets. Then the team finishes off the roadtrip next Monday against the Knicks before heading home for a couple games.
