On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich discuss the Suns matching Deandre Ayton’s offer sheet from the Pacers, the latest on the Kevin Durant trade news, and a quick look at the Summer League Suns.
The Suns didn’t take long to match the max offer sent to Deandre Ayton by the Pacers on Thursday afternoon. This came after weeks of sign-and-trade rumors, with none ever coming to fruition. Rumors say that the Suns matched the offer once they officially received it within just a few minutes, showing that there was no way they were going to let the big man leave The Valley for free.
Then the guys talk about the latest Kevin Durant trade rumors. The odds seem a little less likely since having to match the Pacers offer, but we have been told to not rule out the possibility yet. The guys come to terms that this means that fan-favorites Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson would likely be part of the deal.
