This week on Sunny in PHX:

On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about what happened during the “Sketchiest Five Game Win Streak of All Time”, talk about last week’s games, and look into next week’s games against the Blazers, Grizzlies, Rockets, and Timberwolves.

We open the episode with a discussion about the Robert Sarver news, what we expect to hear in the future, and how this is currently impacting the team.

Then the guys talk about all the headlines coming from this recent five game winning streak. The discussion starts with Deandre Ayton still missing games due to his lower leg injury. With Ayton out, Frank Kaminsky has come to life and played excellent basketball. Keeping on the injury track, the guys talk about the return of Cameron Payne and his big game against the Kings.

After that, the guys take a few minutes to talk about our SG duo, Devin Booker and Landry Shamet. Booker has been scoring efficiently, and hitting his best percentages from 3PT since 2017. Shamet had a slow start to the season, but had a solid 19 point game against the Rockets, finally showing us what we paid him all that extension money for.

The guys then take some time to break down last week’s four games against the Pelicans, Rockets, Hawks, and Kings. It seems that in each of these games, the Suns completely blanked on one quarter per game, keeping most of these games much too close for comfort.

To end the show, next week’s games are discussed. Some interesting story lines upcoming against struggling Damian Lillard and the Blazers and explosive Ja Morant with the Grizzlies. We then match back up with the struggling Rockets and all their young talent, before closing out with a game against KAT and the Wolves.

Thanks for tuning in, and talk to you again next week!
