On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about the Phoenix Suns franchise record breaking 18 game winning streak, and how it finally came to an end. Worry not, Suns fans, another new winning streak is already brewing.
During the game where the Suns tied the record, we saw Devin Booker exit the court after coming up hobbled due to a hamstring injury against the Golden State Warriors. The Suns, without Booker for the near future, then handled the young Detroit Pistons to break the record for their 18th straight victory. The Suns finally saw defeat in their second matchup against the Warriors, where they nearly shot 50% from downtown and refused to lose. While a bit hobbled, the Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs, potentially beginning a new winning streak.
This week, the Suns get some much-needed time off and only play the Celtics on Friday to round out the week. Thanks for tuning into the episode, and we’ll chat again next week. Go Suns!
