This week on Sunny in PHX:

On this week’s episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich celebrate the sweep of the Denver Nuggets, touch on some recent Suns headlines and NBA awards results, and talk about who they would rather match up against in the Western Conference Finals, the Utah Jazz or the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Suns were firing on all cylinders throughout their two game stretch in Denver, handily beating the Nuggets in both games. Chris Paul was absolutely incredible throughout these two games, getting to his spots and knocking down jumpers at an insane clip. Devin Booker was right there with CP3 throughout the series, putting up big scoring numbers as well as doing great work on the glass.

The guys highlight the Nikola Jokic flagrant 2 ejection, the “Suns in 4” guy, and the welcome home party at the airport. There has been a ton of hype around the organization, and the guys take a minute to enjoy what has happened this week while the Suns rest and prepare for the conference finals.

To finish up the show, the guys talk about who they would rather match up against, the Jazz or the Clippers. Mitch chooses the Clippers, thinking the Suns will be able to match up well with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, while the rest of the squad will be able to take advantage of their matchups. Charlie opts for the Jazz, thinking that Gobert will be equalized by making him come out of the paint to cover the PnR, and looks at a few other favorable matchups.

We’ll be back with another episode once we figure out who we are playing! Thanks for tuning in, and go Suns!
