The NBA season is officially over which means it’s time to bring back the Year in Review series! If you haven’t been with us that long, we run a Year in Review episode for each Atlantic Division team after the year is over. First up in this year’s series is none other than the Brooklyn Nets!
Before we kick off the reviews and season grades, we had to take a look at some of the news and rumors getting thrown on around websites and social media.
The Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans kicked off all of the off-season fun with the first trade. Jonas Valanciunas and picks are headed to the Pelicans in exchange for Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, and more picks. The Pelicans have seemed to make out in this trade like bandits and it could set them up for some more moves coming soon!
Then, more Bradley Beal rumors continue to swirl. He’s reportedly going to be requesting a trade soon and there are four or five teams that he supposedly would welcome a trade to. What should the Washington Wizards do with Bradley Beal, fulfill a trade request or just make some sort of move without consulting him? Dennis Clausen seems to think the Wizards shouldn’t even care what Beal thinks.
Kyle Lowry has also seen himself become the centerpiece to a ton of rumors as well. He’s rumored in sign-and-trades as well as being the target of five different teams to sign him in free agency. So which team will end up signing him and which team has the best chance to win a ring if they do sign him?
Finally, we get into the real meat of the episode. The Brooklyn Nets had themselves an amazing season in terms of roster moves as they brought together the big three of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. Ultimately, they did fall short of their goal of a championship which everyone expected of them. So what grade do they deserve and what should they focus on in this off-season?

Being from the suburbs of Philadelphia, it was hard not to become a Sixers fan during Allen Iverson's prime. Other than just the Sixers, I enjoy watching all forms and levels of basketball, especially the WNBA. Outside of basketball, I've been playing and coaching volleyball for most of my life. Also, after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, I became a Software Developer by day, while writing and hosting podcasts by night.
