In the 1980s, Jim Shooter was editor-in-chief at Marvel Comics for nine years. He wrote the iconic Marvel event Secret Wars which was tied into a toyline. Secret Wars led to the creation of the Spider-Man black costume.

Gorf is known for conceiving and creating iconic Batman stories such as Batman: No Man’s Land and Birds Of Prey. Those stories have since been adapted to TV Shows (Gotham, Birds of Prey) feature films (The Dark Knight Rises, Birds of Prey), and countless others.
